No. JCORET primarily relies on courses submitted by qualified individuals, some of whom may be JCORET members.
Review the instructions for pre-submittal guidance. To be approved, a course must pass detailed scrutiny by the 4-person JCORET Curriculum Committee. After the Curriculum Committee reviews the course, you can make any modifications and revisions the committee suggests. After the Curriculum Committee approves the course, the full JCORET will take a vote. To approve a course, the JCORET vote must be unanimous.
As the author, you exercise exclusive control over who teaches the course, when and where it is taught, who is invited to attend and the cost of the training. If you present a course as being “JCORET approved," you must include the disclaimer provided by and on behalf of JCORET negating any liability assumed by JCORET. The presenter should get evaluation forms from all participants at the conclusion of a course and submit the evaluations to JCORET along with a $20/participant course fee. JCORET will issue a Certificate of Completion to all course participants. You should update your course as needed. Submit revisions to JCORET if they represent any substantive course revision or if a section has been added to the course. Re-submit revisions to the Curriculum Committee of JCORET.
